Michael O’Hara

Managing Member and Chief Executive Officer

Michael O’Hara is the founder and a managing member of Consensus. Since forming Consensus in February 2006, Mr. O’Hara has advised a wide range of companies ranging from early stage consumer products companies to leading national and international retailers in merger, acquisition and financing transactions. Mr. O’Hara also regularly advises lenders, creditors and investors in complex transactions, and has been engaged in over 30 retail and consumer restructurings in his career.

Prior to forming Consensus, he served as a Managing Director of Financo, Inc., where he provided services to such clients as Gadzooks, Inc., The Container Store, Whitehall Jewelers, Lifetime Brands, Wilsons The Leather Experts, Crescent Jewelers and Tourneau. In May 2002, he was appointed the President of the bankruptcy estates of Casual Male Corp. and its 16 direct and indirect subsidiaries, effectively serving as their chief restructuring officer. Prior to this, Mr. O’Hara was an executive with retailers Brookstone and J. Baker, Inc. and a corporate attorney at Ropes & Gray in Boston.
