Mark Lenz joined Consensus Advisors as a consultant in September 2006 and as a managing director in November 2006. At Consensus, Mr. Lenz has actively advised many firm clients in restructuring and mergers and acquisition opportunities. With Consensus, Mr. Lenz was a principal financial advisor to the official committee of unsecured creditors of the Robbins Bros., Shane Co., Finlay Enterprises, Friedman’s and Crescent Jewelers, Tyringham Holdings and M. Fabrikant & Sons bankruptcy estates.
Prior to joining Consensus, Mr. Lenz spent 19 years at Zale Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange-listed jewelry retailer, in a variety of financial and executive capacities, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he held beginning in 2003. During his tenure at Zale’s, he participated in several complex financial transactions including the acquisitions of Gordon’s Jewelers, People’s Jewelers of Canada and Piercing Pagoda and their related financings.
