Consensus was retained by a major fund to advise it on a possible large short position it was considering in the bonds of a public company. Consensus provided detailed merchandising, competition and market position analytics. We also guided the fund on pricing strategies ultimately recommending that the fund not execute the short position. The bonds have increased in value in excess of 50 percent since our engagement.
